Life Cycle
|
Female cements eggs among stiffer grass stalks, where they overwinter in the North. Green nymphs mature by late summer. Probably 1 generation a year. Each species in this genus has its own sound and gange. Identification of the diffrent species is based on a comparative study of male genitalia, of the projecting conical midpart on the head in both sexes, and of the ovipositor. |
